psychometric assessment
Psychometric assessments are the sole basis on which goal are formulated. The following assessment help in identification of domain for each child:
Generation of report
After the assessment a report is generated within a week which includes the diagnosis followed by parental counseling sessions and intervention strategies.
Parent guidance and counselling
Parents are first educated about the diagnosis of the child. The report is discussed in details by the ‘Asha Hai’ team of psychologist for guidance and interventions.
Interventions
Language & Communication
Language and Communication therapy is using paly based techniques to develop a child’s language. The goals are around play and using play way activities (e.g., toys, games, etc.). Not only does play based therapy increases the child’s attention and engagement, it also allows you to target their goals in a more functional and naturalistic aspect. Using play in language therapy helps the child being motivated to engage and communicate when playing with materials of interest. Children learn the social skills necessary for playing with toys and make progress on language goals in a naturalistic setting.

High Risk and Self- Harm Psychotherapy
Psychotherapeutic intervention for individuals at high risk for self harm aims at teaching basic problem solving skills, and reducing depressed mood and hopelessness(both precursors to self harm). Such individuals often perceive their life situations to be highly problematic and not amenable to improvement.
Counselling aims at helping a patient resolve past life trauma and come to a state of acceptance regarding present life circumstances and at the same time encourages them to find solutions to life problems. Psychotherapy has been found to be highly effective in reducing adverse outcomes in individuals predisposed to self harm.
Online therapy
Keeping up with current times, Asha Hai is providing online therapy for those who are unable to take physical sessions for various reasons. Online therapies are molded in such a manner that help both the children and the parents as well. These therapies help children in their overall development and provide support to them on a daily basis. Areas covered in online therapy include all the therapies that are undertaken physically within the centre.
Home Based Support
Home-based habilitation and learning programs for very young children with disabilities are extremely invaluable strategies. In addition to classroom instruction, Asha Hai supports them by providing an educational program to use at home (simple, effective activities using materials easily available); maintaining a relationship with them and their family and supporting their engagement with the school. By adopting a structured approach to therapy at home, home-based education can be used as an excellent tool for building abilities for the child and the family.
Family/Parental Counselling
At Asha Hai, we understand that parents of children with special needs require additional resources, coping strategies and support for the holistic development of the child. Our approach to counseling for children with special needs is to include the parents so that open communication is maintained, goals and expectations regarding the treatment is clear, and benchmarks are created to help you measure your child’s progress. To achieve this, we conduct regular meetings with parents that include sharing the child’s reports, providing feedback on home-based plans and facilitating the parents’ psychoeducation.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a process that involves helping people at all stages of life develop, maintain, or recover the skills they need for daily activities that are meaningful and necessary. OT is designed to help children and adults acquire or regain the skills needed to perform the activities - or “occupations” - of daily life. OT is also helpful for people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma Therapy is a specific approach to therapy that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how the traumatic experience impacts the child’s mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. The purpose of trauma therapy is to offer skills and strategies to assist the child in better understanding, coping with, processing emotions and memories tied to traumatic experiences, with the end goal of enabling the child to create a healthier and more adaptive meaning of the experience that took place in their life.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.Through CBT, these thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts.
Cognitive behavioral therapy benefits those dealing with emotional difficulties, depression, anxiety, and anger issues.
Solution Focused Therapy
Solution-focused therapy - also known as solution-focused brief therapy or brief therapy - is an approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. This can help people to look forward and use their own strengths to achieve their goals. Solution-focused approach benefits those aiming for self-development, growth and responsibility.
