Psychometric Assessment

At Asha Hai we conduct standardized procedure for measuring sensitivity, memory, intelligence, aptitude and personality etc. These psychometric assessments are the sole basis on which goal are formulated as assessments helps in identification of domain for each child.

 

The interpretation of these tests is evaluated by psychologist and the results are confidential. For every child we conduct psychometric tests to measure their developmental milestones this is helpful for us to set aim as well as objective for the child’s holistic development. Regular assessments helps the organisation to keep a track on the child’s growth in different spheres of improvement i.e. interactive skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, creativity and many more.

 

Psychometric testing is one such tool which helps us develop personality traits and aptitudes of child, with this assessment we come to know about the behaviour and values of the child.

 

Our team of therapist conducts assessment to identify the following areas:

  • Background information: This section would involve collection and collation of data to identify and study the child’s family background, one to one interaction with the child, behavior patterns both at home and outside. The process would involve interaction with parents, immediate care giver and reports given by school or any other centre that the child has been going to for intervention.
  • Reports by other specialist: The scores from psychological, developmental, academic and medical reports will also be interpreted to include them in the final assessment report.
  • Development Plan: A plan is formulated keeping in mind the child’s intelligence which is not dependant only on the intelligence quotient but on other multiple intelligence. The plan also focuses on the learning style of the child so that the lesson can be planned efficiently. Based on the plan the required intervention like special education, developmental therapy and dance movement psychotherapy are given and similarly accommodations are made in the school structure to ensure growth and development.
